On 11-12 March of 2017, regional workshop for Parliamentary Budget Offices was held with the support of Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WfD) and "Public Finance Management in South Caucasus” program of the German Society for International Cooperation (Deutsche Gesellschaft fur lnternationale Zusammenarbeit - GIZ). The workshop aimed to exchange ideas, achievements and challenges between the representatives. With parliamentary budget office of Georgia the meeting was attended by the representatives of Armenian, Ukrainian and Lebanese budget offices. Head of Parliamentary Budget Office of Georgia, Tata Khetaguri presented information on the role and mandate of the Budget Office, core directions, additional researches and publications, as well as presented the methodological aspects of PBO’s work.
The second part of meeting proceeded in discussion format, where a number of topics were discussed, including: products of the budget offices, the main beneficiaries and ways of communication with them, as well as, the roles of offices in direction of costing of legislative bills.
